President’s Message

President’s Message

Welcome to ACHE of Texas Midwest.

It is an honor to serve as President of our chapter and to work alongside a dedicated board of healthcare leaders committed to advancing the profession across West Texas and the broader Texas Midwest region.

Our chapter represents a unique and important part of the healthcare landscape. We serve large and small communities, rural and urban markets, academic and community-based organizations, and leaders working across the full continuum of care. That diversity is one of our greatest strengths. It gives our chapter the opportunity to connect healthcare executives who may face different local realities, but who share the same calling: to improve health, strengthen organizations, and serve communities with integrity.

In 2026, our focus is clear. We are working to increase meaningful member engagement, expand high-quality educational programming, strengthen networking across our regions, support members pursuing advancement to Fellow status, and build a stronger pipeline for students and emerging healthcare leaders. We are also placing renewed emphasis on collaboration with neighboring ACHE chapters and other professional organizations so that our members have access to broader perspectives and richer learning opportunities.

Healthcare leadership is not getting easier. Our organizations are facing workforce pressures, financial constraints, access challenges, quality and safety expectations, regulatory complexity, and rapid technological change. These challenges demand leaders who are not only technically competent, but also courageous, ethical, adaptive, and deeply committed to mission. ACHE of Texas Midwest exists to help develop and support those leaders.

I encourage every member to engage actively this year. Attend an educational session. Join a networking event. Invite an emerging leader. Consider volunteering. If you are eligible, begin the journey toward FACHE advancement. Our chapter is strongest when our members see themselves not as passive participants, but as contributors to a shared professional community.

Thank you for the work you do every day in service to patients, families, teams, and communities. I am grateful for the opportunity to serve with you, and I look forward to a strong year of connection, growth, and impact.
